We have arrived!

We arrived in Sydney on 15 December, just in time for the Xmas rush. We stayed in an apartment on Steyne Avenue, Manly over the road from Manly Beach. It was beautiful. We were due to move into our house on Monday 17 December, but unfortunately the house was dirty, Andy had fleas jumping up on his legs and generally not in great shape. We finally moved into the house on Friday 21 December. We love the house, it is in Seaforth, 4km from Manly beach and in a really nice area, we have lots of beautiful birds and are getting used to the early wake ups from them. Shops are nearby with everything we need day to day. (Picture above is the view from our house).

We have a pool which the kids love and are spending hours in - I have even starting getting in and it is lovely - we even have some lizards that like to sunbath by the pool but seem to make themselves scarce when we are around.

We had Xmas at Balmoral Beach - was strange not to be with family but was nice.

The girls are all sorted for school - they will be attending Seaforth Public School about 15 mins walk from home, we love the feel of the school and the principal is great. Tom has been accepted for Freshwater Senior Campus and when I visited last week, I just loved the atmosphere, so positive and friendly.

We have bought a family car, we were lucky enough to have the use of our friends the McMurdos car for a week
while we looked, we now just need to find a car for Andy.

The kids have all started boogie boarding and the girls just love it. Noah is getting better and loves the beach and the water. Kate starts surfing lessons tomorrow, and is so excited.

Last night for New Years we went with the McMurdos to Manly Wharf to watch the fireworks. It was a beautiful night, the beach was packed and the fireworks were amazing we then went back to their house to watch the fireworks in the city. It was just lovely.
